 Police in Ogun State have arrested a 65-year-old landlord for alleged child abuse and physical molestation of 11 years old twin brothers, Taiwo and Kehinde Olishe. The suspect reportedly tied down and beat the twin brothers for defecating in the compound in Ijebu-Ode. He was said to have been arrested after the twins’ mother, Gbenisola Olishe, lodged a complaint at Ijebu Ode Area Command of Nigeria Police Force. The mother had told the police that while she was away from home, a good Samaritan informed her over the phone that the landlord “tied her twins’ hands and legs with rope like goat and dragged them on ground.” She said the twin brothers were beaten by the landlord, who also made a video record of the “heinous act.” According to her, the twins sustained varying degrees of injuries as a result of the wicked act of the landlord.  A 37-year old driver, Sunday Akpan, has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly engaging and smashing LASTMA of P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Akowonjo Roundabout, Akowonjo area of Lagos, where the LASTMA official, Oguntimilehim Francis, went to perform his official duty before he was attacked. The suspect, Akpan, was said to have been apprehended over an alleged traffic offence by the LASTMA official, who wanted to take the vehicle to their office for the offender, Akpan, to be cautioned and probably given the necessary fine. However, the suspect refused insisting that he was not going to their office because he did not commit any offence.  The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has rejected the outcome of Saturday's Edo Governorship, in which incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki was declared winner.  Igbere TV had on Sunday reported how Obaseki, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, secured 307,955 votes to defeat Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the APC candidate, who got 223, 619 votes. In a statement forwarded to Igbere TV, Sunday, the APC alleged foul play in election, but called on party members to stay calm "while party leaders study the result and decide what is next." In the statement signed by the Chairman of the APC Media Campaign Council, Mr. John Mayaki, rejecting the result, the APC cited alleged strong arm tactics.
